Fairbanks (and the wider Fairbanks North Star Borough) regulates urban livestock under FNSB Code 18.96.250. Allowed urban livestock includes rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, miniature goats, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, and honey bees — but they must be incidental to a residential use. Lots between 2,000 and 9,999 sq ft are limited to a maximum of 8 birds (chickens or ducks). Roosters are prohibited in many neighborhoods.
