Flood Zones

The Town of Raymond is a participating community in the National Flood Insurance Program, with a current effective NFIP date of November 18, 2009, and an initial Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated August 1, 1986, per the FEMA Community Status Book Report for Mississippi. Raymond is incorporated in the FEMA Flood Insurance Study for Hinds County, Mississippi and Incorporated Areas dated November 18, 2009. The Hinds County Permit & Zoning office at the Raymond Courthouse Annex (127 West Main Street, 601-355-5424) maintains the FIRM panels, but the City of Raymond Building Inspector administers the flood damage prevention ordinance for properties inside Raymond's corporate limits. Pearl River and tributary drainage place portions of Hinds County in mapped Special Flood Hazard Areas.
