Can I park my RV or boat trailer in front of my Carson home overnight?

Not without a permit. Carson Ordinance No. 18-1815 restricts oversized vehicles — defined as anything exceeding 20 ft long, 80 in wide, or 85 in tall — on public streets, and the Parking Enforcement Division offers an oversized vehicle permit for short-term loading/unloading. Does my pickup truck count as an oversized vehicle?

Pickup trucks under 25 feet in length are explicitly excluded from Carson's oversized vehicle definition, per the City's Parking Enforcement page. A standard half-ton or three-quarter-ton pickup is normally well under that length, so day-to-day on-street parking is allowed where curb signage permits.
