Temecula FAQ

Can I keep my trash cans next to my garage?

Yes, if they're not visible from the street. A side yard behind a gate, inside the garage, or in a screened enclosure works. Visible storage on the side of the house facing the street violates the rule.

Can I use a different trash hauler?

No. CR&R holds the exclusive residential franchise. All single-family homes must use CR&R service. Some commercial customers have more flexibility.

What if I forget to bring my cans in?

First offense usually gets a courtesy notice. Repeat violations result in citations starting at $100. Bring carts in by end of pickup day to be safe.
