As a condition of obtaining or renewing a county or municipal business license, occupational tax certificate, or similar authorization, employers must submit a sworn affidavit listing their E-Verify user identification number and the date of authorization. Public employers and contractors face additional verification rules under O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. The statute applies statewide and preempts inconsistent local enforcement schemes.
