Can contractors work on Saturdays in Garden Grove?
Yes, but only between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Section 8.47.060(D) sets shorter Saturday hours than weekdays, and construction and repair work within 500 feet of a residential area is barred entirely outside those windows and on Sundays and federal holidays.

Yes. The Building Official or a designee can grant a temporary written waiver to the permitted hours, and a public hearing body or development approval can also impose different, usually stricter, hours as a condition of the project.

No. Section 8.47.060(D)(2) excludes minor home repairs and routine home or personal property maintenance from the definition of construction and repair work, though those activities must still follow the chapter's other noise standards, including the 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. device curfew.
