Both building and electrical permits are needed; fast-track online solar permits are available through the Clark County Citizen Access Portal for standard residential systems up to 12 kW. Plans must show structural attachment detail, array layout, conduit routing, inverter location, and disconnect placement. Rapid shutdown compliance per NEC 690.12 is required. Interconnection to NV Energy requires a separate application governed by Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN) rules under NRS 704.773.
