Connecticut Has No Statewide Flavored Tobacco Ban

Unlike Massachusetts and several other states, Connecticut has not passed a comprehensive flavored tobacco prohibition. Flavored cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, and flavored vapor products remain legal for sale to adults aged 21 and older through licensed retailers under CGS Title 21a Chapter 420a. The state has considered legislation in recent sessions but no statewide ban has been enacted. Local municipalities have limited authority to restrict flavored product sales beyond existing state law, though some have adopted public health resolutions encouraging restraint.

No flavor-specific violations exist; standard tobacco licensing and age rules under CGS Title 21a apply to all flavored products.
