Maine Statewide Rule
Maine has no statewide statutory wildland-urban interface (WUI) overlay or fire-hazard severity zone classification comparable to California PRC Β§ 4201; the Maine Forest Service operates the National Fire Danger Rating System (Low / Moderate / High / Very High / Extreme β historically referenced as Class I-V) operational late March through late November, but classification does not impose construction or vegetation mandates outside the burn-permit and red-flag-warning context.
