Oklahoma Statewide Rule
Rent control is prohibited at the local level in Oklahoma. Okla. Stat. tit. 11 § 14-101.1 bars any municipal governing body from enacting, maintaining, or enforcing an ordinance that regulates the rent charged for privately owned residential or commercial property. There is no statewide rent cap, and no Oklahoma city has rent control.
