Individual villages including Garden City, Rockville Centre, and Great Neck impose setbacks (often 10 to 25 feet from property lines) and limits on hive count per lot. Town of Hempstead Code 202 (Zoning) treats apiaries as agricultural accessory use in residential districts with conditions.
