Utah allows limited medical cannabis home delivery only through state-licensed courier services tied to specific medical cannabis pharmacies. Recreational delivery is illegal. Patients must hold a valid Utah Medical Cannabis Card to receive deliveries.
Utah Code Β§26-61a permits a narrow medical cannabis home delivery program operated by state-licensed pharmacies through approved courier services. Only patients with valid Utah Medical Cannabis Cards may receive deliveries, and only of products purchased from a licensed pharmacy. Drivers must verify patient identity at the door, accept no cash from minors, and use locked transport containers. Delivery to schools, federal property, or hotels is prohibited. Recreational delivery from out-of-state services or unlicensed actors violates Utah Code Β§58-37 and triggers criminal charges. Salt Lake City does not separately license cannabis delivery operators.
Operating unlicensed cannabis delivery, transporting product without locked containers, or delivering to ineligible recipients can result in license revocation and criminal prosecution.
