NY Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (Cannabis Law Art 4, 2021) legalizes home cultivation: 3 mature and 3 immature plants per adult 21+, capped at 6 mature and 6 immature per residence regardless of number of adults. Plants must be in secure location not visible from public place (Cannabis Law 222). Medical patients allowed under separate rules. Orange County municipalities cannot prohibit cultivation but may address nuisance issues (odor, security). Landlords may ban in lease.
