Cranford regulates noise through two chapters of its Code: Chapter 310 (Peace and Good Order) — which prohibits loud, unnecessary or unusual noise plainly audible at or beyond the property line during 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. — and Chapter 290 (Noise), adopted by Ordinance 99-9 on April 13, 1999, which implements the NJDEP model noise control ordinance with decibel limits.
