Fairfield has not adopted a local drone ordinance. Recreational drone (Unmanned Aircraft System or UAS) flight is governed by federal FAA regulations under 14 CFR Part 107 (commercial) and the Recreational Flyer rules at 49 U.S.C. §44809 (recreational, with TRUST certification), plus California state laws on privacy and trespass.
