Fire Pit Rules

Glassboro Borough has a particularly restrictive fire-pit policy: open outdoor fires — including backyard fire pits, chimineas, and bonfires — are prohibited throughout the Borough except for narrowly defined exceptions in Chapter 264 (Fire Prevention) of the Borough Code. New Jersey Uniform Fire Code (N.J.A.C. 5:70) standards still govern any permitted recreational fire (3 ft × 2 ft max fuel area, 25-ft setback, attended at all times).
