Section 11.72.010 states that, in addition to nuisances identified elsewhere in the code, the conditions listed in Sections 11.72.020 through 11.72.174 constitute public nuisances enforceable by the city's code compliance officers, police officers, and building inspectors (defined collectively as "enforcement officers"). Enforcement follows Sections 11.72.180 through 11.72.250: an enforcement officer may inspect the property, issue a written Notice of Violation describing the condition and required correction, and require compliance within a period the notice sets (not less than ten days). The responsible party may appeal to a hearing officer under Section 11.72.220 within the time stated in the notice.
