Signage Rules: Anza vs Temecula

Riverside County generally prohibits any exterior signage advertising a home occupation. Ordinance 348 Section 18.28 requires that home occupations produce no external evidence of the business, and Ordinance 521.2 (the County Sign Ordinance) does not authorize commercial signage on residentially zoned parcels.

Home occupations in Temecula are not permitted to display any exterior signs, lighting, or advertising visible from outside the dwelling. This is a hard rule under TMC §17.04.020 designed to preserve residential neighborhood character. Vehicle wraps and lawn signs both fall under the prohibition.
