Temecula's home occupation standards in TMC §17.04.020 explicitly prohibit any exterior evidence of the business, including signs, displays, advertising, special lighting, or symbols. Unlike many cities that allow a small (1-2 sq ft) name placard, Temecula's code is stricter — no exterior signage of any kind is allowed at a home occupation. This includes window signs visible from the street, A-frame signs, banners, lawn signs, mailbox decals, and lighted signs. A commercial vehicle parked at the residence overnight may not display business advertising larger than what would qualify as standard commercial-vehicle identification under California Vehicle Code §27907 (which requires only the name and address of the business operator on commercial vehicles). Vehicles with full advertising wraps used as rolling billboards are not permitted to be parked overnight in residential areas under TMC parking rules.
