Some of our pages cover topics where we have not yet been able to locate an official local ordinance. If you know the rule for your city, or where it's published, we'd love to hear from you.

How submissions work

1. You tell us below which city and topic your information covers, what the rule is, and where it's published. A link to the official municipal code or the relevant city department's website is especially helpful.
2. One editor reads every submission and checks it against the primary source. We only publish rules we can quote word-for-word from an official source, with the exact section citation.
3. If the official source confirms the rule, the relevant page is updated from that source. There is no fixed turnaround, and nothing you write in the form is published.

We never publish unverified information. If we cannot confirm a rule from an official source, the page stays as-is: but we appreciate the pointer regardless.
