Sales and discharge are permitted only from noon June 28 through 10 PM July 4, and only from licensed nonprofit stands. All aerial, explosive, or out-of-state fireworks remain illegal under Health & Safety Code Section 12500 et seq.

Possession, sale, or discharge carries criminal penalties and cost-recovery fines of up to $1,000 per device plus billing for fire response.
