Can I cancel Burrtec service and self-haul my trash?
No. Burrtec holds the exclusive solid-waste franchise under JVMC Chapter 6.75; residential and commercial customers must subscribe. Self-haul is only allowed in narrow situations such as construction-and-demolition waste using your own equipment.
What time do my carts have to be out?
All three carts (black, blue, green) must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your service day and pulled back within 12 hours after collection.
What happens to pickup on a holiday week?
Collection is cancelled on the six observed holidays. If the holiday is a weekday, every collection day for the rest of that week is delayed one day. Weekend holidays do not shift the schedule.
