Can I register an STR in an apartment?

No. North Las Vegas prohibits STRs in apartment buildings and caps them at 10 percent of units in multifamily structures. Most registered properties are single-family homes.

Can I run an STR in unincorporated Clark County?

The county adopted Chapter 7.100 with a 1% housing cap and 1,000-foot separation. However, a federal court injunction is currently blocking enforcement.

Why so few permits issued?

Only 194 of ~3,000 possible permits issued. The 2,500-foot resort hotel buffer eliminates much of the Strip-adjacent area, and the application window closed August 2023.
