Safety Harbor FAQ

Can I park in front of my own house overnight?

Yes for short stays, but not for more than 48 consecutive hours. After 48 hours the vehicle must be moved. The rule applies even to homeowners parking in front of their own property.

What counts as moving the vehicle?

Code enforcement looks for a genuine move — driving the vehicle off the block, not simply rolling it a few feet. Moving it to your driveway or another street resets the 48-hour count.

Seminole FAQ

Can I park facing the wrong way on a Seminole street?

No. Vehicles must park in the direction of travel with the right-side wheels within twelve inches of the curb, per state law and Chapter 39 of the city code.

Is parking in a fire lane a violation in Seminole?

Yes. Parking in fire lanes, marked no-parking zones, on sidewalks, or in intersections is prohibited and subject to citation by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
