Seminole Chapter 39, Article II governs on-street parking, including stopping, standing, restricted areas, and how vehicles must be positioned along city right-of-way.
Chapter 39, Article II of the City of Seminole Code (Stopping, Standing, and Parking) sets the rules for on-street parking. Vehicles must park parallel to the curb, in the direction of travel, with the right wheels within twelve inches of the curb. Parking is prohibited in fire lanes, on sidewalks, in marked no-parking zones, within intersections, and on bridges. Posted time limits and tow-away zones apply where signed. Florida Statutes Chapter 316 supplements the city's traffic code and applies to all roadways unless local rules are more restrictive.
Parking violations result in citations issued by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Unpaid citations may proceed to county court and lead to vehicle registration holds.
