McKinney enforces a juvenile curfew under Code of Ordinances Chapter 58 prohibiting persons under 17 from being in public places between 11 PM and 6 AM on weekdays and midnight to 6 AM on weekends.
Exceptions include minors accompanied by a parent or guardian, traveling to or from work, attending a sanctioned school or religious event, or engaged in interstate travel. Daytime school-hour curfew also applies 9 AM to 2:30 PM on school days. Parents of violating minors may be cited. The ordinance is periodically reviewed for renewal under TX Local Gov Code Β§370.002.
