Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (federal) has separate NPS hours — generally dawn to dusk with gates closed. After-hours entry to county parks constitutes criminal trespass (O.C.G.A. §16-7-21) and can trigger both Cobb PD and Cobb Park Rangers. Camping, overnight parking, and after-dusk fishing in county parks all require special permits. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area units in south Cobb (Palisades, Cochran Shoals) follow NPS hours.
