Inyo County has no numeric noise ordinance. A data center's cooling and generators are held to the General Plan noise policies: exterior noise at the property line may not exceed the County's Table 9-9 land-use standards, and cannot raise an already-exceeded level by more than 3 dBA.
Inyo County's code sets no operational decibel limit; the General Plan still calls for a noise ordinance not yet adopted.
