Construction hours in Clermont, FL β sometimes called construction noise rules or contractor work-hour ordinances β set when contractors can run power tools, hammers, and heavy equipment.
In unincorporated Lake County, outdoor construction, drilling, repair, alteration or demolition tools may not run in residential zoning districts between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Emergency utility work, government road work, golf-course maintenance and concrete slab delivery are exempt.
Section 14-35(1) of the Lake County Noise Control Ordinance bars outdoor operation of construction and demolition equipment in residential zoning districts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day. The rule names the covered residential districts, including Ranchette (RA), Agricultural Residential (AR), R-1 through R-10, Residential Professional, mobile-home and RV park districts and residential PUDs. It does not apply to commercial or industrial zoning, golf-course maintenance, emergency public-utility work, government-required night road construction, or delivery and installation of concrete for residential slabs. Cities within Lake County set their own construction-hour windows.
Sec. 14-35 civil citation: reduced $50 if uncontested, $100 for a repeat; court may impose up to $500. Each separate occurrence is a separate violation.
