Seminole County treats outdoor amplified music through Sec. 165.43. Subsection (a) states that regardless of use or zone, all sounds from an outdoor sound amplification device must be limited in volume, tone, and intensity so as not to create a noise disturbance. Subsection (b) prohibits operating any outdoor amplification device for commercial purposes between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. in any zone. 'Commercial purpose' (165.2(e)) includes advertising a business or attracting the public to an event or performance. For louder outdoor events, an organizer can seek a special permit from the County Manager under Sec. 165.52.
Enforced under Sec. 1.8, Seminole County Code (165.61); each continuing day is a separate offense. Special event permits are available under Sec. 165.52.
