Papillion requires all vehicle parking in residential districts to be on a hard-surfaced area connected to the public right-of-way (eCode360 Ch. 9707646). Paved driveways must be set back at least 1 foot from interior side lot lines and 3 feet from rear property lines, and the paved area cannot exceed the lot's maximum impervious coverage. Only one RV up to 20 feet long, 12 feet tall and 10 feet wide may park in the front parking zone; additional RVs are permitted only in side and rear zones with size caps.
Papillion (pop. 24,159, Sarpy County) regulates driveways and residential parking through its Zoning Ordinance β see eCode360 Ch. 9707646 (https://ecode360.com/9707646), Off-Street Parking (https://ecode360.com/12426719), and Supplemental Site Development Regulations (https://ecode360.com/12426508). All vehicle and trailer parking on a single-family lot must occur on a hard-surface area connected by a hard surface to a dedicated public right-of-way and/or alley. Paved driveways, sidewalks and pads may be located within the front, interior side, or rear yard but must be set back a minimum of 1 foot from the side lot line and 3 feet from the rear property line. Total paved parking area cannot exceed the lot's maximum impervious coverage. For recreational vehicles and trailers: only one RV or trailer no more than 20 feet long, 12 feet tall, and 10 feet wide may park in the front parking zone (driveway leading to the garage). In street-side, interior-side or rear parking zones there is no number limit, but each unit cannot exceed 45 feet long, 12 feet tall, or 10 feet wide. On-street parking of vehicles or combinations exceeding 20 feet long, 10 feet tall or 8 feet wide is prohibited in residential zoning districts under City Code Ch. 9707646.
