Chapter 26, Article VIII (Off-Street Parking and Loading) requires all new and redeveloped buildings to provide sufficient off-street parking. Vehicles parked curbside may not block any portion of a driveway. Sidewalks must remain clear for pedestrian access. On residential property, Chapter 28, Article X requires vehicles to be parked on improved surfaces (concrete, asphalt, or gravel). Parking on grass or unpaved areas in the front or side yard is a code violation in approved residential areas. Fire zones and fire hydrant clearance zones must remain accessible at all times. Corner lots require clear vision areas for intersection safety.
