On residential lots in unincorporated Manatee County, a resident's commercial vehicle can't exceed 15,000 lbs gross vehicle weight or 9 feet in height, and larger restricted vehicles must be screened or off-street (Code 2-9-108).
Manatee County limits oversized vehicles on residential property through Code Sec. 2-9-108. Each of the two commercial vehicles a resident may keep must stay under 15,000 pounds GVW and nine feet tall, measured to the highest point or any load carried; the height cap doesn't apply to vehicles under one-ton rated capacity. Oversized restricted vehicles (large RVs, boats on trailers) must be stored off-street in a garage or off-street storage area, or in a side/rear yard not projecting more than five feet past the home. On a corner lot's secondary front yard they must sit back ten feet behind a six-foot fence or full hedge. Whitfield Residential and Restricted Vehicle Overlay Districts impose additional limits.
Code enforcement under Ch. 162, F.S. and county Code chapter 2-7; each day a separate offense (Sec. 2-9-109).
