Unsold items left at the curb or in the front yard between sale days or after the sale concludes triggers blight citations under Ch. 331-4. Signs must be removed within 24 to 48 hours of sale end (Albany Ch. 375 Art. IX). Town of Colonie Chapter 131 and Town of Bethlehem Chapter 85 (Nuisance Abatement) apply similar rules. Properties that develop a pattern of visible clutter may be cited under NY Municipal Home Rule Law Β§10 general welfare authority. Hoarding accumulations may trigger referrals to Albany County Adult Protective Services.
