Duval/Jacksonville permits residential garage and yard sales without a permit, limited to 2-3 sales per address per year, each no longer than 2-3 consecutive days, per Ord. Code Chapter 150.
No fee or registration is required. Temporary signs must be removed within 24 hours after the sale and cannot be placed in the public right-of-way or on utility poles (a separate Chapter 675 sign-code violation). Sales that exceed the annual frequency limits are treated as unlicensed retail and require a home-occupation LBTR.
