Code §368 allows construction activity during daytime hours and prohibits loud construction equipment (hammering, sawing, heavy machinery) outside those windows in or near residential areas. Emergency repairs are exempt. Major road and utility projects often operate under separately permitted night-work exceptions issued by the Public Works Department.
