Jacksonville/Duval (consolidated government) Ordinance Code Chapter 368 sets general nighttime quiet hours of 10 PM to 7 AM. Applies countywide except Beaches Cities (Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Baldwin) which have separate codes.
Because Jacksonville and Duval County merged in 1968 into a consolidated government, the Jacksonville Ordinance Code is the county code for most of Duval. Chapter 368 (Noise Control) prohibits unreasonably loud, disturbing, and unnecessary noise between 10 PM and 7 AM in residential zones. Amplified sound audible at a 50-foot property line during quiet hours is presumptively a violation. The Beaches Cities and Baldwin retain home-rule authority and set their own quiet-hour windows.
