In unincorporated Seminole County, residential garage or yard sales may be held in residential and agricultural districts no more than twice a year per parcel, each lasting no more than three days. Signs and unsold goods must be removed afterward.
Under Land Development Code Sec. 30.6.4.1, carport, garage, and yard sales are allowed in residential and agricultural zoning districts but may not be conducted on the same parcel more than twice each year, with each sale limited to three days. At the sale's end, unsold items must be removed or stored out of sight, advertising signs removed immediately, and no merchandise may be displayed outside the carport or garage. Larger or recurring outdoor sales require a special-event/outdoor-sales permit under Sec. 30.6.4.2. City sales follow each municipality's rules.
Exceeding the twice-a-year or three-day limits, or leaving up signs and merchandise, is a Land Development Code violation subject to Code Enforcement citation and the Code Enforcement Board's jurisdiction.
