Pasco County, FL Property Maintenance: Trash Bin Storage (2026)

Pasco County Utilities Solid Waste Division provides curbside collection to unincorporated residential properties using wheeled carts (standard 95-gallon). Per Pasco County Code of Ordinances Ch. 110 (Solid Waste), residents must place carts at the curb no earlier than 6:00 PM on the day prior to collection and must remove them from curbside by 6:00 AM the day after collection. Between collection days, carts must be stored out of view from the public right-of-way, typically in a garage, behind a fence, or beside the house with screening. Carts must be placed at the curb at least 3 feet from obstacles (mailboxes, vehicles, utility boxes) with the lid opening facing the street. Overflowing carts, improperly bagged yard waste, and construction debris may result in non-collection and tagging. Bulk waste (furniture, appliances) is collected on scheduled days or by appointment. HOAs in deed-restricted communities often enforce stricter screening requirements through covenants. Hurricane debris has separate staging rules during declared emergencies.
