Rogers, AR Property Maintenance: Weeds & Overgrown Grass (2026)

Rogers regulates tall grass and weeds through its own Code Enforcement (Neighborhood Services) unit. The city's rule is that a person who owns a parcel of property within the City of Rogers shall maintain all grass and weeds on that property. Unlike some neighboring cities that set an 8-inch limit, Rogers has not published a specific maximum grass height. Instead, per the city's official FAQ, there is no minimum height established and property is deemed 'unsightly' when it offends the then-prevailing standard of the community — that community-standard test is what code officers enforce. When grass or weeds are found in violation, the city posts a notice on the property or mails a certified (registered) letter giving the owner 7 days to remedy the condition before citations or abatement begin.
