Temporary garage and yard sale signs are classified as 'temporary event signs' under Arapahoe County LDC Section 5-2300. No permit is required. Off-premises directional signs are limited to 3 total and must be placed only with the consent of the underlying private property owner. Wire H-frame signs pushed into the right-of-way grass strip are routinely removed by Public Works. Signs must be taken down within 24 hours of the sale's end. Some HOAs within unincorporated Arapahoe County impose tighter rules.
