Signs must be posted no more than 48 hours before the sale and removed within 24 hours after. Residents are limited to a small number of garage sales per year (typically 2-4) under most Georgia jurisdictions; DeKalb does not require a permit for occasional residential sales but commercial-scale operations require a business license.
