Section 30-120 of the traffic code restricts heavy and oversized vehicles on Dunwoody's residential streets. Subsection (a) bars parking or standing any bus, truck or other freight- or passenger-carrying vehicle over one-half-ton capacity on any public street or highway for longer than one hour, day or night. Subsection (b) separately requires that any truck or bus wider than eight feet or taller than ten feet have its driver actually present and in charge whenever it is stopped or standing on a street or public place.

Subsection (c) applies the same one-hour cap specifically to recreational equipment: no person may park or stand a truck camper, camper trailer, motor home, boat, boat trailer or other recreational vehicle on a residential street or public place for more than one hour at any time, day or night. The section works alongside section 30-79, which bars keeping an unlicensed or inoperable vehicle, trailer or equipment on residential property for more than 30 days unless it is enclosed or covered in the rear yard. Together these sections mean an RV or boat trailer cannot be left on a Dunwoody residential street for more than an hour, though driveway or rear-yard storage is handled under the separate provision.
