Key rules: signs must be on private property with the property owner's consent; they may not be attached to utility poles, fences, or trees; they cannot be placed on city, county, state, or school-district property; posting is allowed no earlier than one day before the sale; all signs must be removed by 10:00 PM on the last sale day. Garage sales are limited to three events per property per calendar year, each no longer than three consecutive days. City staff may remove and hold non-compliant signs for one week before disposal.
City staff may remove illegally placed signs immediately. Signs are stored at 5500 International Pkwy for one week then discarded. Continued violations may result in a citation and a fine up to $500 per day.
