Anchorage honors No Soliciting signs posted at residences. A solicitor who knocks after seeing a sign can be cited for trespass and loses their peddlers license. There is no Municipal do-not-knock registry.
AMC 10.40.050 directs licensed peddlers to refrain from entering any property posted with a No Soliciting or No Trespassing sign. Ignoring the sign is criminal trespass under AS 11.46.330 (violation) or AS 11.46.350 (second-degree misdemeanor if prior notice was given). The Municipality does not maintain a centralized no-knock list like some Lower-48 cities; instead, posted signage at the premises provides the legal notice. Residents who experience persistent solicitation should note the name on the license ID and report to APD or the Finance Department. Religious and political canvassers are constitutionally protected but must still leave when asked. Commercial telephone solicitation is governed by the federal TCPA and Alaskas telemarketing law (AS 45.50.475), separate from door-to-door rules.
