Marana Town Code Chapter 5-6 requires solicitors to honor posted no-soliciting signs. Knocking on a door or ringing a doorbell at a residence displaying a no-soliciting sign is a violation subject to citation.
Under Marana Town Code Chapter 5-6, permitted solicitors must immediately leave any property that has a conspicuous no-soliciting or no-trespassing sign posted at the entrance or on the front door. Continuing to knock, ring the doorbell, or otherwise attempt contact after observing such a sign constitutes a violation of the solicitor ordinance. Residents may also verbally tell a solicitor to leave, and failure to promptly depart constitutes criminal trespass under ARS 13-1502. The Town does not provide or require a standardized no-soliciting sign design; any clearly visible and legible sign is sufficient. HOAs in many Marana communities have placed no-soliciting signs at subdivision entrances, though individual household signs provide the strongest legal basis for enforcement.
Ignoring a no-soliciting sign: civil citation under Chapter 5-6. Refusing to leave after verbal request: criminal trespass under ARS 13-1502 (Class 3 misdemeanor).
