Licensed Detroit retailers and microbusinesses may deliver adult-use marijuana directly to consumers 21 or older under Cannabis Regulatory Agency rules. Drivers, vehicles, and recordkeeping must comply with state delivery protocols.
Detroit allows marijuana home delivery through any retailer or microbusiness holding a Detroit license and the corresponding CRA delivery endorsement. Under CRA Administrative Rule R 420.503 and MCL Β§333.27959(1)(g), each delivery vehicle must carry no more than 25 ounces or $10,000 in product, use a manifest tracked in METRC, and be staffed by two licensed agents. Deliveries must be made to private residences within Michigan, never to dorms, schools, federal property, or public spaces. The recipient must show ID at the door and be 21 or older. Detroit BSEED checks delivery vehicle storage and licensing during local compliance audits. Drivers cannot accept cash above the manifest limit and may not consume any product on duty.
Delivering without endorsement, exceeding inventory caps, skipping METRC manifests, or delivering to non-residential addresses results in CRA fines, license suspension, and possible criminal charges for unlicensed sales.
