Washington does not authorize recreational cannabis delivery to consumers. Customers in King County must purchase in person at licensed retailers. Only registered medical patients can use a limited cooperative model, and licensee-to-licensee transport requires LCB-approved transporter licenses.
Under RCW 69.50, recreational cannabis sales must occur on-site at licensed retail premises in Washington. Unlike Oregon, Nevada, or California, the state has not enacted a consumer delivery program. Curbside pickup also remains restricted by LCB rule. Licensee-to-licensee shipments use approved transporter licenses with manifested chain of custody. Medical cooperatives may share product among up to four registered patients but cannot operate as commercial delivery services. Unlicensed delivery apps operating in King County have been targeted by LCB enforcement.
Unlicensed delivery is a felony under RCW 69.50.401. Licensed retailers caught delivering or shipping outside approved channels face license suspension, revocation, and criminal referral.
