Sales and discharge are permitted only from noon June 28 through 10 PM July 4, and only from licensed nonprofit stands. All aerial, explosive, or out-of-state fireworks remain illegal under Health & Safety Code Section 12500 et seq.

Possession, sale, use, or discharge of any fireworks within city limits is a misdemeanor carrying fines up to $1,000 plus civil penalties, and offenders may be responsible for fire suppression costs.
