Yes. What counts as a short-term rental in Sugar Land?

An STR is a dwelling, or any portion of it such as a single bedroom, that is rented for fewer than 30 consecutive days. Any property leased for 30 days or longer is not classified as an STR and does not need a Conditional Use Permit. Operating without the required CUP can lead to fines of up to $2,000 per day under city zoning enforcement.
